Reservation Policies

• For week-long reservations a nonrefundable $200 (per cabin) check or cash deposit is required within five mailing days from the initial reservation. In an effort to keep reservation rates low credit card payments are not accepted. Cabins will not be held without received payment of the full deposit. The outstanding reservation balance is due before or upon arrival.
• Cancellation of a reservation must be made four weeks before check in time. Guests canceling after this time will be charged the full weekly rate, as articulated in the reservation contract.
• Reservations are made on a summer lease, weekly or daily basis. Rental rates vary accordingly. See the “cabins” page for current rate information.
• Check in time for weekly rentals is on Saturdays, 3-5pm. Checkout time is on Saturdays, 10am. Guests are expected to comply with simple check-out policies as articulated in the cabin guestbooks.
• Guests arriving after check in time will be charged the full weekly rate, as articulated in the reservation contract.
• Guests will incur additional fees for unnecessary damage upon checkout, as articulated in the reservation contract.
• Pets are welcome on a case by case basis, as determined by Shady Shore management. Guests must obtain permission to bring pets in advance and will pay $50 per pet upon arrival. Guests are required to supervise pets when outside the cabin and ensure clean grounds.
• All cabins are smoke free.
