Built in 1936 by resort founder, Carl Hedquist, Old Pioneer Cabin (formally known as Cabin 3) was Shady Shore’s first structure and maintains its original charm today as one of the resort’s most popular cabins. With one double-size-bed bedroom, original maple floors, and classic French-pane windows throughout, the historic cabin provides a cozy, intimate get-away place for any couple. Located directly above the resort’s main fishing dock, Old Pioneer sits only 20ft. away from the Moose Lake shoreline and sports one of the area’s most spectacular views! With a fully accessorized kitchen and a full bathroom with an upright shower the “pioneers” staying in this cabin are sure to have the comforts of home.
